"Lone Jack to Knob Noster" ![]()
| Performer: | John Roache |
| Composer: | Jack Rummel |
| Arranged by: | John Roache |
Jack Rummel describes his composition:
"A rollicking Missouri folk rag, this composition depicts the sense of
freedom and excitement that overtakes me each year as I traverse that
special stretch of US Highway 50, framed by the two towns Lone Jack on the West and Knob Noster on the East, that leads
me to the Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival in Sedalia. It has been suggested
that Lone Jack in the title may be partly autobiographical."
