Ragtime works very well in MIDI. out of all instruments, the piano sounds the most realistic. I wish that someone could explain exactly why. These performances are great, an antidote to the things computers normally do to music. I especially like hearing the piano rolls that have been converted to MIDI, it's as if that person is playing in your living room a hundred years on! What a genius John Roache was to do all this and bring so much to the internet world.

i find this page phantastic. i'm a fan of ragtimes and similar music but up to this moment i didn't find more about this than a scott joplin cd in the library and a book with subscriptions of some of his ragtimes. (ragtimes are unfortunately not very popular in germany...) so your side is a real paradise for me. thank you so very much for providing this happy, wonderful, peaceful music!
