Listen to LIVE broadcasts of these Ragtime Radio programs on the Internet:
You've must have a 28.8 baud(or better) connection or it won't work. Plus a sound card and speakers (which I'm just guessing you already have). Then, point your web browser to the home page of any of the radio stations below:
David Reffkin's "The Ragtime Machine" from KUSF, San Francisco on Monday nights at 9:00PM to 10:00PM Pacific Time
Jack Rummel's "Ragtime America" from KGNU, Boulder on Thursday nights at 7:00PM to 8:00PM Pacific Time
Steve Hinson's "Ragtime St.Louis" from KDHX, St. Louis on Sunday afternoons at 4:00PM to 5:00PM Pacific Time
Stan Bregar's "It Don't Mean A Thing" from KLON, Long Beach on Sunday mornings at 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM Pacific Time. Stan plays Early Jazz, Swing and some Ragtime.
Each of these home pages has a link to the place to get the freeware audio application you need to play the streaming audio signal. The stations all use the same one, the industry standard, RealAudio. Use the links to download the software (if you don't already have it)and install it.
The next time you go back to the home page of any of the radio stations, click the link that says something like, "Live Broadcast" or "Listen" or some such. It will then launch a separate window with RealAudio running. After maybe 30 seconds of "buffering", the streaming audio should come from your sound card.
